Looking first at the classic 2020 Châteauneuf Du Pape, it's based on 65% Grenache, 20% Mourvèdre, and the rest Syrah and Cinsault. I love the bouquet, which is loaded with ripe black cherries, roasted herbs, licorice, and pepper-like nuances. This carries to a rich, medium to fullbodied, wonderfully balanced, layered Châteauneuf du Pape with a more expansive, seamless, sexy style. It's well worth seeking out and will evolve for 15+ years in cold cellars.
