"Another brilliant year at this estate, the 2019 Châteauneuf Du Pape Centenaire displays a deeper hue than the 2022 and 2023 and is based on 90% Grenache and 10% Syrah, completely destemmed and aged 24 months in concrete. It has a blockbuster nose of kirsch liqueur, roasted garrigue, licorice, iron, and some bloody nuances. These carry to a full-bodied Châteauneuf that has beautiful balance, ripe, building, firm tannins, and a gorgeous finish. It needs another 5-7 years, but this is a beautiful, layered, truly great Châteauneuf. Drink 2030–2050.
