Seeminlgy much more ripe than a previous bottle, the 2004 Les Cailloux Châteauneuf-du-Pape shows a ripe, rich nose that borders on the overripe with roasted herbs, licorice, black cherry
and earthy notes. With air, this gains a stony and almost chocolately edge and the palate is full bodied, rich, textured and balanced. Surprisingly ripe and lush for the vintage, this should drink well over the next 10 years.
