When we work with nature we realize that we do not control everything!
Unfortunately our Chateauneuf-du-Pape vineyard was not spared by this episode of frost. Two parcels were particularly affected.
The vines we have in Côtes-du-Rhône have been spared overall. We stand in solidarity with our confreres who, for some, have been affected on all of their vineyards.
To date we estimate the losses on the Domain at 30 to 40%.
Two plots were particularly affected: Bois de la Ville, south of the village, where we planted Grenaches eight years ago, and Rébillon, further east, which was mostly planted in syrah.
However, nature regains its rights, the vines recover, current rains are welcome, we keep hope in the future and remain positive. We hope that we will not be affected by the drought this summer.
